Our story
Our Films is a community of emerging filmmakers brought together by a shared love of cinema. It grew out of an online filmmaking workshop led by National Award-winning director Pradipta Bhattacharya during the COVID lockdown.
What began as workshop assignments became a space for learning, experimentation and storytelling. Participants made short films with the tools available to them, from mobile phones to cameras, and supported one another in developing their ideas.
The Our Films Shorts Fest brought those films to audiences. Early screenings over Zoom connected filmmakers and viewers, and inspired the collective to take those conversations beyond the virtual space.
